Marijuana Dose
Eating cannabis has the potential to get you stoned beyond the normal high you experience when smoking, which is why it's important that you are careful with your marijuana dose. You can easily become overwhelmed and potentially too stoned if you don't pay attention to your marijuana dosage amounts. Even a weaker weed has the ability to send you into orbit and potentially ruin your experience. Therefore, it is important to respect the strength and amount of cannabis you’re preparing and/or eating.
While it is easy for a joint smoker to regulate their dose from toke to toke, once you have ingested marijuana, there is nothing you can do about it. Therefore, it is important for the cannabis consumer to be able to measure and control the effect of each weed cookie or weed brownie before they eat it. To know what you’re consuming, you should be aware of the amount and the strength of the marijuana dose you have used. If you do smoke, then a little test toke of the weed you intend to use should help you know the potency of what you’re cooking with.
The table below should be able to help you to establish the correct amount of Hash, Bud or Leaf to use when you preparing your food. Please bear in mind that this is to be used as an approximate guide as we are all different shapes and sizes. Your weight, metabolism, experience and your current state of mind (are you already stoned?) will alter the affect that cannabis will have on the consumer.
Marijuana Dosage Table
The table below is a set of ratios to guide you when you’re preparing you food. All measurements are based around the strength of a medium strength bud. For example: If a recipe calls for 5g of medium strength bud, then it will only need 2.5g of powdered hash, or inversely, 15g of medium strength Leaf. The marijuana dosage in this table is a meant as a guideline only.
