Cannamel
Caramel is an institution when it comes to sweets. Cannamel or (cannabis
caramel) is a great marijuana recipe for those with a sweet tooth. A good
cannabutter will really make this recipe. For a more tradition caramel, you can
forgo the cream or you if you’re feeling daring, replace the cream with
cannamilk. Depending on the amount of heat you put through this sauce, you can
have a nice sweet sauce or a hard, chewy sweet. Either way, you’ll have your
marijuana.
150g white plus another 150g soft brown sugar
75g Cannabutter
200ml cream
75ml corn syrup or maple syrup
1/4 tsp salt
First, get everything prepared, which means having everything measured out and
your tin ready.
Heat the first 150g white sugar with 25ml water in a pan until it turns a rich
reddish brown, remove the pan from the heat and add cannabutter. Add the
remaining sugar, your choice of syrup, the cream and salt, return to the heat
and bring to the boil, watching that it doesn't boil over.
Reduce and simmer for about three or four minutes for an all-purpose caramel
sauce.
Then remove from the heat and leave for a minute to let the bubbles subside.
Swirl the pan gently to remove any remaining bubbles then pour while still hot
into the tin, gently scraping it out of the saucepan with a spoon, and leave
until cold.
